GT clock past 430

I've read a theory that GT performance clocked past 430 will perhaps drop due to the different design of the power circuits on the PCB compared to an ultra.

My GT is sweet at 430/1200 without a BIOS voltmod so am thinking of pushing it higher but theres no point if performance drops... Whadya think?

called thermal throttling, where you get sudden drop in performance. ive only experianced it at 460/1190 clocks. u gotta find your own thermal throttling point
 
surely that's purely a temperature issue and not the power issue I'm asking about?
 
well, it is usually fixed with a voltmod, so i dont really know wtf they call it thermal throttling for
