I have a few extra machines sitting around all quite low spec between 500 and 1000 MHz. Anyone know of a way they could be used together for video encoding. Sort of a beowulf cluster idea. Just looking for something to do with these machines. Not willing to spend heaps of money on expensive software or anything.

this guy built a render box that was pretty nice..... he has a nice writeup about the process....

I'm not sure what to use software side..... are the network capable encoding programs out there?

Keep on Folding!! For the [H]orde!!

Not such a bad design for a farm in one box, this is giving me dangerous ideas.....
