GRID + Crossfire = WTF

I installed a fresh copy of XP Pro 32-bit, the 8.7 official drivers, etc. I installed and patched GRID (1.2 I believe) and if i enable crossfire and start the game the game play is seriously maybe 1 frame every three seconds. If I disable crossfire the game runs smooth as silk...I see sites with Crossfire benchmarks in GRID with great results...so WTF?

Anyone else seeing this? I have two Visiontek 4850's in crossfire on a PQ5 Pro p45 board.

Who has crossfire working with 4850's in GRID?
 
crossfire works great for me with grid. I have found that you cant run 8x AA in grid or its a slideshow so keep the AA at 4x max and you should be fine. I do not have to disable AI to get it working and neither should you. grid is a great game when it works but it is just plagued by poor code and bugs. From the poor patches to the securerrom on 1.2 causing explorer crashes in windows the game is just a mess written by hacks.
 
i'll try turning off AI. I have GRID settings maxxed out and it runs fine with one 4850 (crossfire disabled).

I take it that's 4850 CF, but at what res? With a single 4870 at stock I'm running GRID @ 1680x1050 maxed with 8xMSAA perfectly. At the start of the race it turns in around 50FPS, then once the race is underway it's consistently above the magic 60.
 
Grid does not support multi-gpu configurations so try what others have said.
 
I had mad frames with 1 4870 (80 fps), now I have 2 4870s and it runs like crap (20fps). I did all the tricks to no avail...time to uninstall.
