Been having this go on for as long as I could remember. Figured it was drivers when I bought my ATI 9800 NP like a year ago, but it is still happening. Figured I would ask the [H]orde for some help ;)

Basically, I get random flashing textures in every game I can think of. Its usually pretty minor and in the ground texturing. But I've noticed lately it's happening across about the middle of my screen. Kinda hard to explain what exactly is going on so here is a link to a screenshot I managed to get of it. As I move the camera around in whatever game I'm playing they flash and change location, etc.

No idea what's going on. I thought about my card overheating but that doesn't *seem* to be the case. Have a full tower Antec with 2 intakes, 1 exhaust + power supply's dual fans. Fan on the card is still working and is clean. No dust clogging up the works or anything.

Can't figure this one out. Hope the [H]orde can help!

FYI, using an ATI 9800 NP w/ 4.6 drivers from ATI. Default settings in display properties.

looks like heat to me , perhaps the heat transfer compound under the fan. Try removing it and using some AS.

Will try that, just hoping I haven't permanently damaged my card for waiting so long to investigate it. :(

Never really seemed like a huge problem though so, who knows. Hope for the best I guess.

2 totally different problems. I don't get 2d corruption nor has it started with just the 4.6 drivers. Been going on alot longer as stated in my first post.

if you had read it a bit more you would see that some people arent getting 2D corruption.

AND you would see that I am getting it still while using 4.4 det's!
