1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc
Gaming. I would like to be able to play Star Wars Battlefront, Fallout 4, GTA 5. The games dont have to be at ultra high settings. My resolution would be 1920x1080. Would my current system run these games at medium settings?
2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?
I was wondering if I could get by with a newer graphics card. I dont have a set budget, but the lower the better. Would a GTX 970 be overkill for my system?
3) Which country do you live in? If the U.S, please tell us the state and city if possible.
Minneapolis, Minnesota.
4) What exact parts do you need for that budget? CPU, RAM, case, etc. The word "Everything" is not a valid answer. Please list out all the parts you'll need.
Im thinking just a graphics card? I know my system is dated, but I dont need to run games at the highest settings. Im wondering if I can streamline my pc with a new graphics card? Or would have too many bottlenecks with the older components?
5) If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing? Please be especially specific about the power supply. List make and model.
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU 920 @ 2.67GHz
Motherboard: ASUSTek Computer INC. P6T x58
Card name: AMD Radeon HD 5800 Series (5850)
Memory: 6144MB RAM (3 x 2GB G.SKill DDR3 1600)
PSU: Antec 650w
HD: WD6401AALS 7200 RPM
Case: Cooler Master Centurion 5
Monitor Model: ASUS VS247
Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
6) Will you be overclocking?
If necessary I could overclock.
7) What is the max resolution of your monitor? What size is it?
ASUS VS247 - 1920x1080
8) When do you plan on building/buying the PC?
Within the month, hopefully.
9) What features do you need in a motherboard? RAID? Firewire? Crossfire or SLI support? USB 3.0? SATA 6Gb/s? eSATA? Onboard video (as a backup or main GPU)? UEFI? etc.
I was hoping to re-use my motherboard. I don't need anything crazy.
10) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license? If so, what OS? Is it 32bit or 64bit?
Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
Thanks for any help!
