This problem just started occuring tonight while playing Counter-Strike 1.6. I will be playing and there will be small specks of light flashing on my screen. They are not very noticeable but I think it is the indication of the problem. After about 2-3 minutes of playing my monitor will flicker to a black screen just sit there. I then have to restart my computer and everything seems to be fine after that, until I try to play the game again. Then it will do the same thing. Anyone know know what the problem is? I think it has to do with my graphics card but I'm not exactly sure. I already tried updating my drivers to the latest Catalysts but the problem persists. Thanks in advance for any help.

specs? thats a bit vague, but it does sound like artifacts, prolly from overheating vram, the 9600 dont have ramsinks stock, you might want to look ito some, do you get any VPU recovery reports? also what about the event viewer? any info from that? hey I noticed you are in vermont, thats cool I am in new hampshire and thought I was the only one on this part of the continent.
