How hot should my ASUS NVIDIA 5900ULTRA 256 MB 450 MHz Core and 850 MHz Memory speed run at under a heavy load. While playing a demo HALO it ran almost at 70 C Is this normal or not? Suggestions would be appreciated!

might i suggest saying your goodbyes now? that sounds hot for anything, or you could use it as a stove

That sounds about right to me, mine runs in the 60 - 65C range under load and my system runs around 32-26C and CPU 35-37C

it should be ok... the cores are rated to 105c or something nuts like that

Playing HALO I had my graphic card overclocked to 481/881 it was than it ran at around 70. Usually it runs in the 60's. The weird part is that when I open the display page too look at the temperature, it says "Core Shutdown 140 C" The bar meter doesnt even show the temperature until it gets to 50 C or so. If you teach me how to take a snapshot of the screen at the temperature gauge I will do so and display it.:)
