Who's here used thermal adhesive to adhere a heatsink onto a GPU. I'm going to make a custom very low profile custom copper heatsink. The downside is theirs no way for me to screw the heasink into my gpu board. So I figured I can thermally adhere the heatsink to the GPU and that should hold the heasink to the gpu and prevent it from falling off.

I was thinking of using

The heatsink will be about 1/16-1/8 thick (any thicker won't fit) of solid copper and will be passively cooled.

It should work well. But i would definitely test out the effectiveness of your custom heatsink first before gluing it onto the GPU. Once glued, it's permanent, so you have to make sure the heatsink can keep the video card cool.
