GPU temp always higher then CPU temp

Long time reader, first time poster... :)
Just installed my APEX kit along with the DD Acetal Maze4 GPU and the DD chipset blocks. Flow ------> pump -> Chipset -> GPU -> Radiator -> CPU -> Res -> pump. Fans are on the middle setting (7v). Too noisy at 12v.
Temps:
Motherboard - Idle:33c - Load:33c
CPU - Idle:34c - Load:44-45c
GPU - Idle:38c - Load:44-45c
Chipset - no idea..where do I get the reading for that?
Question 1 - Is it normal for the GPU temp to always be 4-5c higher then the CPU temp? I thought it would be the same as the CPU since it is in the same loop.
Question 2 - I've used DI water that I got from work along with the additive that came with the kit. Is this safe? Should I flush it and buy distilled water instead?

System Specs:
Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe
A64 3500+ NewCastle - @2.66 (11x242) - vcore@1.6v
eVGA 7800GTX - Core:515 - Mem:1.41

Man. Those temps are fine. No matter what, the GPU is always going to be hotter. When I had my 9800 Pro, my CPU temps were roughly 30*C below it at all times.
 
You don't need to flush your loop until you see stuff growing in it, thta's my general rule of thumb (you don't have any aluminum in your loop, so you're fine using deionized h2o and the Hydrx that came with your kit).
 
Well, my CPU and GPU idle about the same temp and the load temp on the GPU is slightly lower. But I'm running a X800XL and it's a fairly cool running GPU in my openion............ :D And I also have 2 huge heater core radiators. Right now my GPU is at 28c and the CPU is at 29c and at load the CPU goes to 36c with the GPU at 32c/34c bepending on the game. But you're running a very hot running GPU over clocked along with a chipset cooler and OC'd CPU................. :eek:
 
De-ionised or distilled water is a-ok, make sure you run an additive such as Zerex. DO NOT use Water Wetter ;)

Your GPU temps are great! It's normal for GPU's to run at temps over 100°C :p
 
Thanks for replies folks...I am not gonna worry about it then. I might add a dual 5-1/4 res and a fan shroud for the rad., a Vantec fan controller would be nice too. I think I've spent more time tinkering with this pc than really use it. It's great fun though. :p
