how big is that Sanyo LCD?

Remember those hdmi ports flaked out one by one, it may only be a matter of time before the last one stops working.

Not so much that it spreads but the same defect playing itself out, over and over again.

52 inches ? hmm

IMHO, it's a 3 year old 2nd tier TV that already has defects, and half of it's life has already been used up, if not most of it.

Just to give you an idea, i recently purchased a well reviewed 1080P Plasma, on sale, for just $100 more. There are plenty of good, brand new, 50" 1366x768 plasmas for less than $700. BestBuy recently had a 50" 720P Samsung rebrand for $627 + tax.

Because of the defect(s) alone i personally wouldn't pay more than $300 for it, even then i'd be hesitant because what if the TV only lives for another 6 months? Then that would be $300 wasted.

Your cousin is selling that TV just in time imho, because it'll likely break soon and be worthless, though i don't think he should be selling it to you ;)

what you think would be a good price
for that broken down 2007 sanyo 52'' 1080p hd lcd tv?

Like i said above, imho no more than $300, even then i'd be hesitant ;)

$350 to $400 would be a real stretch.

It's sanyo and already flaking out. I wouldn't pay more than $350 and at that price it is still iffy for me. If there is a chance it's gonna die its gotta be a real sweet deal to take it.

For $700 you can get a new one around that size or a better one for a little less on the size.
