Well I wasn't impressed with my Trio 550. Yes before you call me a n00b I know you need a DMM to properly judge but even with software monitoring, a good PSU should be rock solid on vcore and rails. The Trio couldn't even match my old Truepower 480 in that respect. So, i'm now the proud owner of a Silverstone Element 500w, rock solid so far and $20 less. :)
 
I really thought about getting the 650 variant recently.......good thing I decided against it. Had higher hopes since it was made by Seasonic, but I guess thay have differen't tiers for components as well, as they went a bit cheaper with the Trio models.

so if you didnt measure with a DMM how do u know it wasnt rock solid? i've had same model psu's give me different readings with software while the DMM gave me solid rails for both. so u never know. but hey, at least ya saved $20 bucks. hope you can return your trio.

I've never seen a poor psu be rock solid in SW let alone by DMM and I did return the Trio. The Silverstone if a far superior unit IMHO.
