Good Starter Speakers?

[bartsimsonii]

So I need some speakers and I searched around to see what is reccomended. I keep on seeing a nice set of bookshelf speakers and a receiver reccommended and then after that go 5.1 instead of a set of z5500's or the like.

What receivers and bookshelf speakers are reccomended.

Lets say in the 200-300 range.

How about an onkyo/denon receiver with a set of infinity bookshelfs?
