On the back of my case I have a hole for a 120mm fan that I cut the stock steel out of. However, I did not think (stupid me) that I would have to drill new holes for my fan. Turns out I do. The original design of the case included a fan shroud/holder that snapped into the case, much like how Antec/Chirftec/CHemming cases do it. The problem is that I no longer have that god-awful piece of purple plastic anymore. The holes that were drilled for it also do not come anywhere close to what I need for my 120mm Thermaltake fan. So, therefore I need to drill new holes. The problem is that I do now want those unsightly old holes there anymore. My question is: "What do I use to fill those holes?" Can I simply fill them with bondo and sand then down? If I do that, what will happen if I try to drill the new holes and they overlap where the old holes, which would now be filled with bondo? Will the bondo crack and fall out? If not, will it be stong enough to hole the fan in place with all the vibrations from the fan working against the stability of the bondo? I was thinking of using fiberglass reinforced bondo or filler putty, but the same questions exist for those as well. Also, I have no experience with either of those, and my bondo experience is very limited. Any thoughts or suggestions are appreciated.
