I'm taking a P4 3.06 out of a Dell Optiplex and installing it into my PC. Should I take the fan that came with it or get a new one? I probably won't overclock it.

I would get something else. If you are not overclocking I suggest a Coolermaster Jet4. It looks cool and will keep your processor quite a bit cooler than a stock intel fan/heatsink. I also recommend anything from thermaltake or anything from zalman.

I have a Vantec Aeroflow on my 2.4. It should work well on a 3.06 also. The CoolerMaster Jet4 is nice too. I probably would have bought that if it was out when i built my rig.

Since you're not overclocking the stock hs/fan is fine. Other wise you can get a Thermalright hs or a Zalman 7000.
