Hey guys,
I am getting a new computer for my own personal use, and I have several options that I hope you could help me out with. I am going to be purchasing the PC from a manufacturer, because the daunting task of ordering, building, configuring is just a recipe for disaster for a person like me. I have already picked out the components (monitor, speakers, keyboard, mouse, headphones and more importantly a TV Tuner card) and I am now in the process of the selecting a vedor for the hardcore components. The two manufacturers I have been looking at are ABS and Vicious (Hypersonic looks like another Alienware). I will mainly be using it for gaming tv watching and general use.
I am looking at an Intel based system, with the latest technologies available (no SLI). Whats hard about choosing comps from vendors is that most of the products aren't exactly the same, meaning I can't compare very fairly.
Couple questions. Hard drives, need two. One for my system and one for networking storage. Networking one should be small. Knowing this, will I need RAID? IDK what that is so any info would help.
Burners, need a regular cd/dvd drive, and a drive to burn dvd's and cdrw's.
This is kind of rough draw up, nothing final. Done quick.
