Good Cheap Laser Printer?

anyone got some suggestions i'm running on a psc500 all in one machine that's an ink-eater so i wanna just print some text on cheap one.
 
Brother HL-1440. It can be had for less than $150 and it does about 12-15 ppm I think. It's also very compact.
 
Another vote for the HL-1440. Caught one on sale at Fry's for 129.00. 250 sheet tray and memory upgradeable to 32 megs with SIMMs. Toner cartridge for it is supposed to last 3000 sheets and costs 49.99 at CompUSA.
 
HP LaserJet 1012 printer for 150 at CompUSA or ML-1710 Laser Printer for 99 after 100 mir. I tend to choose HP for their LaserJets which last forever, plus toner is pretty cheap. My LaserJet 6L is still going strong.
 
Staples has the Minolta PagePro 1350w for $100 with no rebates next week.
 
the hl1440 has a higher dpi but the hp in my opinion is more reliable. o so confusing and now there's a good deal for a konica which i never heard of.
 
Konica is a pretty good brand. Company name is Konica Minolta, and they have been around for a long time.
We have their copier machines here at work, and some of them we have had for quite a few years without problems. Maybe the name Konica isn't as familiar in the consumer market because they have been mainly a corporate provider for a long time.

We share a building with Konica Minolta.....and they are using 35 HP Laserjet printers in their office. What does that tell you :)
 
The Brother printer mentioned works fine, but keep in mind there is a drum in there which needs to be replaced every 3 toner changes or so. For that reason I still go with HP printers. No drum to replace.
 
i think i'm gonna get the hp 1012 tonight at compusa for only 150 seems pretty good to me
