4 12V rails!? that just seems pointless to me, i would go with the first one, nice watts, nice ratings, and great brand. And no, your not throwing away $70 so long as this is SLi.

Im using the antec 550w for like $90 from newegg running my overclocked 7800GTs in SLI and my overclocked opteron 170. no problems.

I haven't had a chance to test my Strider yet, but it has a ton of great reviews. The cables are nice, it's quiet, etc..all the good qualities of a good PSU.

I noticed your sig, looks like we're planning on the same thing. :D

After reading the thread about SLi rated PSUs fauling I'm beginning to wonder if I shouldn't say screw modular and go PC P&C 510 ASL.

It's easy to hate what you don't understand. :D

If you have a problem with SLI on the Strider, all you have to do is move one of your video cards over to 12V2 by using a 4-pin to 6-pin adapter.

The "reports" on the Strider not working with SLI video cards were made before they actually knew what the problem was. If they understood the problem, they could have addressed it without replacing the power supply.

Thanks for the info johnny, looks like its strider for me.

Man, this is going to be a tight fit. 180mm PSU and 190mm DVD in a 400MM case.
