I bought a 19" MAG Innovision about 6-8 months ago from Best Buy for $99(college student lol). Starting today on the left side of the moniter a flicker starts near the top left and goes all the way to the bottom left. Is my monitor about to go out? I have never had problems with a monitor thats why I'm asking, even my 1994 Packard-Bell 15" still works lol. Is there anything I can do myself so I don't have to send it to MAG? I really don't want to send it right now with Doom 3 right around the corner. Plus I just bought a 35 Watt 2400+ mobile and Shuttle AN35N, so I'm kinda short on $, any suggestions would be appreciated.

does it do that no matter where it is... .. try putting it somewhere else.. the wall in my dorm room that made my monitor go crazy, there must have been a major power wire in the wall or something... also fans will do what you are describing... it might be something that simple...

otherwise try all kinds of resolutions and refresh rates and see if it changes...

ROFL. Thanks scott, I just got DSL setup in my new apartment and my modem was right next to my monitor on the left side. Once I read your post I moved the modem about 4 inches to the left and no more flicker on my monitor. Yes, I'm a moron lol...
