Gluing Metal?

What would be the best way to go about gluing 2 pieces of metal together? I tried soldering it, but it didnt work. I'm trying to attach a piece of wire mesh to the front bezel of the case as a fan grill. The bezel is aluminum and the wire mesh is steel (I think). Would superglue be good enough or do I need something better? The part thats going to be glued is behind the front bezel so it doesnt have to look all that good. Thanks.

don't do just superglue. Look in the superglue isle, but get something that is meant for metal.

good luck

What you want is a product called "JB Weld" it is specifically designed to do exactly what you need. This stuff does take like 24 hours to completely cure, but when it has cured, it is virtually stronger than the metal you applied it to. There is a quick curing alternative called "JB Kwik" made by the same company, this stuff completely cures in 4 hours or so. Just about any hardware store or auto parts store should have it.

JBweld is one type of "cold weld" any other brand works, but you are in need of a product called "cold weld" and JBweld/JBkwik are 2 types of cold weld :)

If you still want to go the soldering route, you need to use some flux to prep the metal. JB Weld is a great product tho, so I would probably use that.

I use this stuff:

It's cheapest stuff but works VERY well

You wont have much luck actually welding the steel to aluminum, JB weld is going to be your best bet.
