hey all, since i made a thread of wat case i wanted to get, i havent seen anything on this case on the forum. i just wondered wat u guys opinions on it were. Apparently it is very, very well made, has awesome airflow (better than many Lian Li's and Antec) has holes for water cooling and is kinda cheap for having 3x120mm Quiet fans included. just wanted to no ppl's opinion on it b4 i buy one if i do

That's the case I'll be buying if I can't find one that fits my description in another thread I posted. The only thing about the 3D Aurora I don't like is the expansion card retention method. I would prefer each expansion slot to have its own retention clip. But that one minor detail is something I can live with.

wow man good luck finding a case that fits ur description, u would think that there has to be one out there somewhere aye? im liking this gigabyte case cause of the silence, included fans, airflow and future proofing for watercooling. the only thing that is kinda holding me back is the intake fan, which i might get borred of like i did with my icute case (see my other thread)

I really like the case, The dual 120's in the back is what sells it for me. If I hadn't just invested a rather large amount of money into my existing case, this is probably what I'd be buying right now.

i have one, its a very very nice case. i feel like it rivals lianli quality.
u have it? first person i no :p (care to post some pics :D ) i am very close to getting this case, however coming from this http://www.dansdata.com/icute0408.htm which is a good case dnt get me wrong, but is toooooo flashy, hardcore gamer-ish for me etc, i really want something that can match it in airflow and something that can go perfectlly with my Apple CD 20". i fell that the front intake i will get bored over a period of time just like my current case, but things like dual 120mm fans at the back, quietness etc is luring me too it (plus i found a place in sydney, australia that sells it for $180 AUS, which is probably 130~ american.) any comments to convince me would be great :D

it's a cool case but the bottom part of the bezel ruins it for me - why the fuck couldn't they make the bottom part match the top, instead of that ugly, protuberant, boxy grille? Spoils a great-looking (up to a point) case

QFT

Too bad since otherwise I was thinking of getting one.

where can you actually buy one? i don't think it's been released yet besides the ones for reviewers.

they're selling everywhere here in Australia :D the bottom of the case ruins it for me too:(

ive found a retailer that sells P180 pretty cheap. how does it compare? i would think the aurora would have better airflow.

are there any issues with using a abit an8 sli mobo with this case, i know that there are issues with using the dfi sli-dr because of the audio riser not fitting, anyone know of any issues with this.

It's been released in a few countries already (AU for instance as the poster above me stated). I emailed Gigabyte asking when it'll be released in the US and they said September. If you do a search for it on Froogle.com one site has a 9/18 date for getting them in stock. So, my guess would be within the next week or 2 we should start seeing them for sale here in the states.

The front doesn't bother me too much. It does look a little tacky but I can deal with it. The thing that I'm hesitating most over is the blue plastic above the front vent holes. My current build is a black and green theme and that blue will throw it off. If it was a clear plastick illuminated by the LED then I could just swap the blue LED for a green one but the plastic is blue so a simple LED swap won't make much of a difference. Depending on how that plastic thing is mounted I may eb able to remove it and replace it with something custom but that's a gamble not knowing exactly how it's mounted. I'd also prefer a plexi window on the side instead of the mesh. Due to the molding around the mesh, cutting my own window would be a bit tricky from what I can tell from the screenshots I've seen.

http://www.vr-zone.com/Stratix/Gigabyte_3d_galaxy/gigabyte_3D_Aurora18.jpg i guess that pic look er... hot/cute :D :D

i dunno, i was thinking maybe the P180, but from what i can tell, the Aurora is better. This could be a nice case to go with my Apple display until BTX comes standard in some years to come. Plus it will keep everything cool and is constucted with quality.

*waits for Bioport and his pics, starts saving up in the meantime*

This case is hot. I'd definately get it.

Good airflow... There is no air pressure in the system either because of the mesh intake on the side. Pretty much the fan in front is for the hard drives and the fans in back are to exhaust any heat generated by the components of the case. I like it.

I'd either get this or the Antec P180, both cases seem to be very cramped though, as in, once everything is in place, it would be a bitch to manage all the cables and such, looks to be not much room for those kinds of things.

i heard the Aurora has very good Cable management.... 1 step closer to ordering :D

off topic but when is BTX suppose to become standard?

hey all, sorry to bring up a pretty old thread, its just im very close to ordering, but need expert advice still :p i heard the cases 3x120mm fans are at 1000rpm, is that crap all?? cause my current case could have a better airflow, and i dnt want to downgrade :p any other things 9pros or cons0 that u guys could point out would be very helpful thanks

but thats a reeason y im buying it, it has 3 fans included, which a 120mm a here in Aus (a good one at least) ive foun cost very expensive.. iv eheard that this case does great cooling, and even better than the P180, cause the grille on the side panel helps, but i want as much assurance/denial as i can :p

I just got the case, let me know if there are any areas that you are worrying about and I will see what I can find out, via the manual or taking some pics
