I was wanting to move all of my systems at home to raid 1 for redundacy. Can I ghost up my old hard drive to a server, then install my new raid 1 setup, and pull the ghost image back down on the raid 1 hard drives? Has anyone ever tried this? MY goal is to move all of the data off my old non raid drive onto my new raid 1 setup, but I want to pull everything, including windows stuff.

Ghost to raid 1??

My personal experience with ghost and raids has been pretty bad. I've seen a bunch of issues with it. To be fair most of the time this was someone loading ghost to image an array and killing the array in the process.

I did it with drive image pro 7, and it worked.. Had to provide the driver floppy that windows needs during install.. The F6 to install 3rd party drivers crap... Never tried it with ghost..
Oh, the first time I tried it, I forgot to install the raid drivers in windows first... It did not work that time..Windows would not boot... So I had to put the old drive back in, install the raid drivers, re-image the drive, and then redeploy.. Not too much of a problem, but something to remember..
