Well, the finances are finally in place and I'm going to build a new system. I can't decided whether to go with an Athlon 64 3000+ with a X800 Pro or a Intel 3.2E with a 6800GT. The reason for the change in vid cards is that I have an MSI PT880 board and it don't like ATI. THere are pros and cons to both. Any ideas or suggestions?

The first generation of NForce 3 boards sucked. The single chip design added a lot of latency to Disk accesses.
The NForce3 250 was a huge improvement over the orig design as it went back to a dual chip design and added more goodies.
Personally, I like the Via chipset for the A64. I have seen it in action and nearly wet myself on an A64 3000 (I built one last weekend for a customer).
