So I'm running a few VM's on my Xeon box, and I wanted to figure out if there is any way I could have all of them being monitored by one FahMon instance on the host machine. So I went into each of the VM's, they are running Ubuntu 8.04 BTW, and I tried to set up File Sharing on each of them, and I got Samba to install correctly, but when I go to share the folder, I get the following error:

share_issue.jpg

Anyone have any experience with this? Or know someone who could help me out?

looks like a permission problem. I have Xubuntu 8.04 and used that way without problem so I dunno what to say... It seems the file permission /var/lib/samba/usershares is not set correctly so try a chmod 777 on that file and see if you can configure it then.

Also, did you try checking the guest box ?

No I didn't, and thanks for the other info, I'll try that and see what happens!
