i was wonder if others out there are getting the same thing. desktop is fine but as soon as i play any game it starts slowly getting artifacts left to right up and down. the longer i play the worse it gets. to the point sometimes you cant distinguish objects but just fuzzy lines or the worst my system just freezes.

i have been playing with winxp sp2 with no problems up until recently. i'm not sure if it's one of the updates thru MS or not.

i have tried almost everything imaginable. just stickin the video card and hdd, put all clocks back at default. thinking it was my videocard at first. so i tried 3 other videocards 2 of them worked. stuck the 9800pro into another computer and it worked fine.

i tried updating the mobo driver from abit but still no use. i think i'll try flashing the bios to 2.7 and see what happens....

p4 2.8c
abit ic7
ati 9800pro 128mb
corsair 2x512 3500
creative audigy 2
vantec 520 stealth P/S
winxp sp2

Definately it is NOT MS's fault..i bet your card is overheating or something

i've tried about 3xx to 4xx. all with the same to some degree or the other which leads to the same effect; artifacts. i dont know if its an overheating thing its at stock speeds. oh well i havent fixed the problem so i'm returning it and see what they can do. not very happy about this its been only 6months or so since i had it.
