getting a good card

can you tell me if the 5900nu is a good card can i get graphics to show as good as the xbox with it.i have had geforce4mx and this was crap .i changed it and bought a geforcefx5200 and that was crap.i dont want an ati card.my budget is $200.

Umm anything thing Geforce 3 on up is technically capable of kicking the XBox's ass as what is really built into that is equivalent to a Geforce 3 Ti200 64MB. A Geforce MX anything really is a rebadged Geforce II so avoid those. The 5200 is actually capable of more than the XBox is, however it's slower than crap.

The 5900 isn't that bad, but for $200 I would go for something like a 6800 instead. It's about $250, but since it's double the speed of the 5900 it's totally worth it. I'd save until you could get that card.

Or wait until 6600GT's come out in the AGP variety.
