what temperatures are acceptable for video cards?
im new at this and i dont know what to think yet...

say there is no way of reading the temps for a video card. how would one go about overclocking it?

In general, small clock incements until it becomes unstable then back it off a notch or two.

I generally see what the max stable oc i can get is than back off about 10mhz.
