Geforce Go 7900GTX overclocking...

Whenever I try to overclock this card in my laptop, it automatically sets itself back to stock. (IT has that new Nvidia control panel driver thing that has overclocking built in) How can I make it stop doing this?
 
Yes, I did check apply. and right after I do that, the sliders just go back to stock. I am doing it for experimental purposes.
 
I fail to see the point in overclocking a laptop. :confused:

You will probably have to disable a service that is automatically clocking the card, atleast that is what I have to do with my x1900xtx
 
^ yea, but there must be software slowing it somewhere. Look it up in task manager!
