I have a ASUS A7N8X with a Gforce 2 MX400 I am only getting AGP 1X instead of 4 i have tride setting the bios too auto or 8X there is no manual setting for 4X? any help would be appriciated

did you just get this setup? is either the mobo or video card new? if youve had this for a while and its just suddenly saying that, then that would be really odd...

have you tried a bios update yet? i myself had a asus a7a266 w/ gf2 mx220 64mb and it reads 4x just fine...

Your BIOS should be set to 8X. The video card will select 4X automatically because that's as fast as a GeForce 2MX will go. If Windows still shows it to be 1X, then you should try updating your nForce drivers from here using the "Unified Driver". If that doesn't get you anywhere, then you can try to fiddle with the speed using NVIDIA nTune.

I think the nforce unified driver did it. i already the 4.24's but i reinstalled anyway well something must have gotten off because now it is 4X thanks for the help
