I run Steam and Origin programs and games. I have a Fresh Raid0 on 2x M4 256gb SSD. I have a 3rd M4 256gb available. Now should I install OS on the single and set up all game programs on the raid0? Or just put everything on the 2x raid0? Or setup differently??
 
I personally like to keep my "data" separate from my OS and games, so my OS and games all land on the SSD.

I guess I was in your position (having 3x 256GB SSD), and if I had games that were close to filling 1 of them, or even fill more than 1, the best way to set up might well be single SSD for the OS and programs and all your games on the other 2.

Sounds like a great solution to be honest :) Just remember that you need "special" drivers to get TRIM working on the RAID0 array :)

Only problem there is I do not have a A 7-series motherboard I have a RIVE and a X79-UD3.

I vote skipping the RAID0, it's just plain not worth the extra risk.

so.. OS on one drive, games on another and you can expand into the third with SteamMover if the second ever gets full.
 
The main benefit of RAID0 on SSDs is that it can double sequential reads and writes, but that's not even necessary for gaming. I'm playing a game now that is notorious for having horrible area load times, and it's only taking about 5 seconds on my SSD where people with HDDs complained about 30 seconds to several minutes. A single SSD vs SSD RAID0 is like 1 second versus 2 seconds in most games.
 
Ok will run 2 separate SSDs Thanks to all.
For the record I have run 2x SSDs in Raid0 for a long time with no problems. Just want most Performance I can get from the SSDs.
