So im new to overclocking with the P35 chipset. Ive got some questions about voltages. Does the MCH (northbridge) voltage have a huge effect on overclockability like on other chipsets? What is the maximum I should ever increase it by in order to remain safe (it goes from +.025 to +.375). Also what the heck is "FSB overvoltage control" and how does it effect overclockability.

it seems increasing the MCH voltage even a little leads to instability but increasing the fsb overvoltage makes the system more stable. Im still curious though on how high I should increase the voltages to remain safe.

I have the same board and was a little curious at first too. (still am about some. I think they are in there simply "because you can" not because of any huge performance gains)
I'm pretty sure you only need to up the FSB voltage if you want to run memory in a non 1:1 ratio (on the board it's listed as 2x, since it's using ddr speed). The northbridge is working overtime when you have memory at a different frequency from what I've read.
I am currently running FSB at 400mhz my Q6600 processor at 9x=3.6ghz, with the ram at 2x=800mhz. I didn't have to touch the northbridge voltage at all. If you want more stability, you want to be raising the processor voltage, as far as I know.

yea I couldnt hit that without changing the fsb overvoltage. Right now the highest Ive been able to boot into windows at is 9X400mhz ram at 800mhz with the FSB overvoltage setting set to +.20v and the vcore set to 1.45v. Im not sure any higher is possible.

Im really curious what the maximum safe limit is for the FSB overvoltage control as it seems to be a major contributor to stability...I want to keep pushing it but I dont want to push it too far
