Before...

Looks like it could use some better cooling

But the Dragon 478's base won't fit with this stupid bracket...
Notice the pencil line? Dremel sure is handy...

Another picture for good measure

hoped you liked it, and thanks to ryujiwarui for letting me chop his board :D

we used water when cutting up the bracket with dremmel... to be safe i am not powering it untill tomorrow.. ill post the oc levels when i oc it. my friend says i should be able to run it at 1 ghtz going by the memory type.. old overclock with reference cooler was 500/978 or something simmalar for ram clock even if it dont preform better... its a sweet looking SILENT cooler no i aint putting the dragon orb fan back on there... dont wana make it sound like i can give free hair cuts with my pc especially when all the other components together are prob between 20 and 30 decibels

awesome job on that mod man, looks real sweet.
just stick a silent 70mm TMD fan or something on there, that would be fuckin 1337.

we mixed artic silver with some real epoxy.. that thing aint coming off... we are able to pick it up by the sync and shake it around...no we didnt do it for long... card itself is heavy..dont like ripping cores outa pcbs..

same as stock... two.. i dont use any of them i got a dfi lanparty nfII rev b.. so i got everything but kitchen sink built in

thinking about it.. you need to include air space for the passive cooling .. otherwise it wotn cool well.. and butting up against another card aint exactly a good thing.. so i say 3 slots in that case if you include air space

I am not a fan of non-fan components because they don't do well in the cooling compartment unless of course you have a really nice case with 4 or 5 case fans. Thus, I'm going to suggest a nice low-noise 80mm case fan if you dont ahve one in there already.

i got 5 case fans hehe one blowing directly on the gpu... i drilled the acrylic there just for that purpose i need 1 more fan b4 im all set tho... 6 is max i want/need.. of course the 120 mm power supply fan counts as some good air flow also.. wind tunnel anyone?

wind tunnel is right... all you need now is some smoke to see where the freaking air is flowing to

1 front intake (can put another.. thats the 6th) two exaust out back one blow hole and one intake from side panel

seeing alot of positive remarks here, pretty damn proud...
anybody like some detailed shots of any particular area?

any questions?

out of the modded cards i've seen in different forum this is by far the cleanest and best mod i've ever seen............

goodjob man........

Thanks, it really means a bunch to me that people are complimenting something I put alot of work into, and it really makes me want to continue things like this again...

That 9500 sure is looking lonely... :D

the big test though, is it running cooler now than it used to? or even the same?
