Alright heres the problem....

Picked up an MSI FX5700LE 256mb...

Swapped it inplace of an old Radeon 7000

Downloaded and installed latest official drivers from Nvidia.com

Reboot

Attempted to play Battlefield 1942 - Screenshot

Attempted to play Advanced Battlegrounds - Screenshot

Uninstalled all graphics drivers.

Reinstalled MSI's nvidia drivers 7.2.x.x

Rolled back from Directx 9.0c to 9.0b

Uninstalled all ATI software and keys

Ensured no irq conflics or onboard conflicts.

Tried Again! - Same Results

Downclocked the card to what the Radeon 7000 runs at.

Tried Again! -

Screenshot

Direct3D Diagnostic Tests - Demo shows artifacts just like screenshots.

Direct Draw - passed.

GLExcess - Runs sometimes, othertimes completely black screen.

Reinstalled the Radeon 7000 - plays everything without artifacts but slow as hell.

System:
Athlon 1700 @ 1.65Ghz
756mb DDR RAM @ 166
MSI - 6561 Mobo

id say pop in 5700 card download driver cleaner.. clean all drivers for video... and then install 66.93 drivers ( install them if you have them already) if it artifacts Return it
