fx 5900xt BIOS mod

I have an MSI Fx5900XT, works really nice but i was thinking to do a BIOS Mod. Some people say that it won´t work on XT/SE versions of the card, Is this true? Also, anybody knows if Softquadro will work on a 5900XT? I know it works in 5900nU/U.
