Can anyone give me a kind of discription as to what a dying water pump sounds like. When i first got this kit (TT bigwater) the pump just hummed away doing its stuff. Now it makes a sloshy noise every now and then (every 15-20 seconds) the water level is high and all is good.
Also the water block seems to be degrading. The water is seeping out of the channels and sitting between the perspex and the copper. And bubbles are forming round the channels. Im not impressed
 
No one around here is to impressed with that kit. Pump noise is usually associated with air in the lines. Did you bleed the system? What is perspex? Are you saying you got a leak? :eek:
 
Yeah i bled the system when i first installed it. Perspex is that clear plastic stuff. Think perspex is british trademark lol. Nah it not leakin. there is a rubber seal around the water channel that stops any of it getting out. Jus a thin layer sitting in there.
Now that kit is installed. How do i go about bleeding all the little bubbles out?
 
my system makes a sloshing sound when i power the system on, but if there is any air in there the flow rate is like 1/3 of what it is when its got no air, my res takes care of all the air :p
 
My pump wasnt as full as i thought it was. Everything is fine now. As the pump was sucking water (it sucks it thru a vertical hole) it was creating like a whirl pool effect and air was getting in that way. Quick top up and now the pump is sweet again. Still a lil worried about the block tho. Dont wanna move out of water cooling so im looking at two other budget kits...

The apex is £165 tho. Thats almost $300 i think. I not got that much cash to spend. The one lower than the APEX is £120 which is alot easier to digest. It comes with the MCW6000 water block instead of the storm. And the MCP350 instead of the MCP655 water pump. Another difference is that the APEX uses 7/16 ID tubing. and the one im lookin at uses 3/8 tubing. Its like 1/16 smaller tubing. A smaller rad, weaker pump, and lower grade block. Still a good setup tho? no?
