I have a linux server setup at home and I'm looking to have the network traffic pass through the router to the server. I'm able to connect to it from another computer on the lan, but a friend trying to connect gets disconnected with cuteftp saying that the connection on my side ended. I have my router setup to allow FTP virtual server for port 21 for both UDP and TCP, but it still doens't seem to connect. Is there any way that I can test this myself? I don't have access to an outside connection. Anyone have any ideas?
