last week my netgear router got fried during a thunderstorm. nothing else fried (modem, hardware all fine), and they're all connected to a surge protector. is there anything i can do to prevent this from happening again in the future?

APC UPS, they have models that include a network (RJ45) surge protector, that's exactly what I just implimented on my home network.

Or do what I do during a major storm even with my APC surge, I unplug everything. Bada boom, bada bing nothing can get zapped.
