I have an old Chaintech i845 board that was given to me with a gig of PC133 and 1.4G P4 chip. I plug everything in and hit the power button and there is no system activity. The only thing that happens is all the fan spin up but none of the drives do anything.

This board is in my old Addtronics 6890 case with the PSU that came with it 6-7 years ago. Do I have to have a 'P4' PSU that has the extra 4 pin 12v connection?

What else might be causing this?

Thanks.

I think you will need that 4 pin power plug. I vaguely remember seeing somewhere an adapter to make a regular molex connector into that 4 pin connector.
