I plan to buy add a new SSD to my PC to speed it up. Although my MB (P3E-WS) is only SATA-2 capable, I will probably buy the Crucial M4 with SATA-3.

My question is will I have to reinstall Windows (XP) and all the applications? Last time I install Windows and MS Office, I made an image of C:. It will be great if I can use it, this can save me a few hours.

You most likely would be able to image it, but quite honestly if you are running XP you probably have so much crap on the system you should do a clean install of just what you need.

I did an image right after a fresh install of XP and Office. I did not even use the system yet, so, there should be no crap.
