If I enable freesync on my display the screen is flickering during gaming. It seems to me that the flickering is worst when the fps is lower. It's not subtle, it seems like I'm watching an old 50Hz crt. Which renders freesync completely useless. The monitor is in my sig. And I'm using the latest drivers 15.7.1.

I assume you are using Display port. Have you tried another DP cable?

Yes, I've tried other cables, none of which even worked with my monitor at 144hz. The only one working is the one I got with it.

I have the same issue with my XL2730Z, only under Windows 7 with 15.7.1. Under 8.1 or 10 it does not exhibit this behavior. I found that launching the game and then turning the monitor off and back on seemed to stop it though.

After downloading and installing the monitor inf from acer, it seems to have stopped. But this fracked up every jpg in firefox. Quick fix: Disable the icc color profile that comes with the driver.

It seems that the flickering is not fixed completely by the driver. I'm starting to see it again in some games.
