free software to cut/crop divx mpeg4 encoded video?

do you know any free software to cut/crop divx mpeg4 encoded video?
I know there are some out there, but they dont work with compressed video files.
We have transfered our bands gig tapes to a computer, now we need to cut them into pieces so that we can post them on youtube.

Windows Movie Maker works great with compressed video. If I'm in a hurry and my source material is xvid/divx that's what I use. (plus it's free)

(Premiere definitely doesn't like working with divx/xvid in my experience - but if I need to use it, I will use virtuadub to convert it to a more friendly format...)
 
I'd say either try Windows Movie Maker or Virtualdub. I enjoy Virtualdub...it's easy to use and is more lightweight than MM. I'm pretty sure it can work with compressed files but I could be wrong. It might be worth looking into though.
 
I use for cropping my video VidCrop. I have trial version without time limit and I haven't any problem when I edit or remove my fideo files.
