My girlfiend just emailed me saying that she has an assignment to create a mini magazine type thingy on "healthy students"

her exact words were "i have to do a several page "mini-magazine" type thing ... A4 sized pages, interesting articles
but i want to present it in a really decent way"

She wanted to present it in a way that wouldn't be similar to all her classmates publisher templates, really impress her lecturer. Its for some key skills course on the side that shes taking.

Any free software out there, or decent trial software (with a 30 day limit or something) that would be good for this sort of thing?

Thanks in advance

Scribus if you want a desktop publishing software. It has a pretty good feature set, and it is free, open source.
Adobe InDesign has a 30-day trial, and it's one of the leading professional desktop publishing software packages.

Well I am a big fan of adobe (I use photoshop, flash, dreamweaver, illustrator etc.) so I might check out this indesign program.
