• Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.

It's been about a year-and-a-half since I found [H] (just under a year registered on the forums) and I've found loads of useful information here. There are some excellent people posting on the boards and, in general, the attitude here is positive and helpful to all levels of experience.

The one problem I see is that all this information isn't being permanently stickied and/or collated into a useful guide/FAQ section. I'd love to see some of the top posts organized and moved off the forums and into a help section of [H]. I'm willing to contribute if it ever happens--I don't have the technological knowledge to be of any use but I'm fair with English and can at the very least proofread and organize information into a useful format. Failing that I'd like to see more stickied information, not just the hot topic of the day, but something on a more permanent basis. Failing *that* at least the search function works now (and a big THANK YOU! for that.)

Great concept, but people are too stupid to put them to good use. Lots of forums have said stickies and they're often not read -- take, for instance, the number of "how do I post in GenMay" threads here despite the sticky with that exact title.

I just don't think another forum with just that content is the answer -- if anything, it will be even more ignored.

It's another good idea on paper that won't work in practice. The FAQ's and stickies are ignored after several weeks by all but a few. Most members, new and old would rather just pose the question anew rather than to shift through another forum of previous postings for their answer. In fact, we could almost post the top 1000 questions asked over the years with the various answers and lock all of the forums down to read only..... but that would take the fun out of having a forum now wouldn't it ;)

A flame FAQ wouldn't be much fun, would it?

Okay, guess I'll just packrat everything for my own use. Thanks.
