Our school was testing our Formula SAE car yesterday and I took some pictures, these are the better ones, since I spent too much time trying to practice panning :D. I also had lots of fun with Photoshop on these pics since I just figured out how to do masking :) Anyways I would appreciate any comments or critiques.

Thanks.

That's pretty bad*ss! My only complaint would be that you're missing a few parts of the car in some shots (but who can blame you?!). Other than that, i like the PS work.

It was kind of hard getting the whole car in the frame, mainly due to the fact that it was going so fast, and that I don't have much practice with panning.

Sweet. Thats a Formula SAE (Formula Student) car, right?

SAE actually stands for Society of Automotive Engineers (www.sae.org)

EDIT: Oh and I just as a note, only the first three pictures really have any PS work, the rest had some levels adjusted but that's it.

My school has built a car for this, but as far as I know nobody has seen it with the body panels on. Including the people who sold them the fasteners because the ones they had before couldn't hold onto the panels...

However I heard that they took it to the track in Spokane, WA, and managed to beat the other classes of cars on the day they ran. Unfortunately the turning radius was crap, but they're working on improving that right now...

Good luck. It looks like that thing goes fast due to your panning

This was taken in the shade ( = very cool color temps + brick building reflection -> poor picture ) but is all I have of our entry right now:

BTW, why is it being towed in picture #4? I was trying to figure out how you got that angle, then I saw the rope and the bed of the truck...

We noticed something was wrong with it, so to prevent any engine damage we just towed it back to the trailer.
