Formatted drive not recognized in external case

I have a new Samsung 500gb drive which i've formatted in XP as an NTFS drive and set to active. I can see and use this drive perfectly fine when it's attached via the internal sata connection.

When i place this drive inside of the NexStar USB enclosure, the drive/device is not recognized. I tested another WD drive in this case and it works fine, although the Samsung drive mysteriously doesn't show.

Anyone have any ideas on WTF is going on?

Check your jumpers on the HDD to make sure it's set to master.

It's a SATA drive the only jumper on the drive is to set it from 150/mbps to 300/mbps. Mine is currently set at 150/mbps because of motherboard limitations.
