I'm trying to format my C: drive (currently run OS on RAID-1 F: drive) and it keeps failing. It does have Windows installed on it, but that was before I set up my RAID array. Now I just want to use it as a storage drive - but I cannot format it. I'm trying to do it through Windows (right click the drive, click format and ok) but it keeps getting to the end saying it was unable to complete the format.
Is it possible to format it using the WinXP disk without actually installing Windows on it right after?
Any other possible suggestions? Thanks.
