I was wondering, does anyone know if there is a way in Windows Vista that you could force a program to START using only one core in a dual core processor? I am aware that you can right click on the process in the task manager and get it to run only on one core, but that means the program had to have already started using both. Is there a setting in Windows somewhere that I could change?

Thanks ahead of time!

Not that I've heard, but you shoulnd't mess with it anyway. The vista scheduler handles things very well.

The START command, available in a command prompt window, takes an /AFFINITY option. Use START /? for more information
