Foobar skins?

I downloaded iTunes because I was combining a few music libraries. Now i want to get rid of it, apple racism. I used to use winamp with skins, but I feel it's getting a little outdated and I don't have to worry about resources with my current rig.

I searched around and read that foobar is great with good sound quality ect. the problem is that it's ugly as sin. I downloaded a skin and tried to import - well it doesn't work like that. Opened the readme and it wants me to download components from all over the net,some are outdated and others are on blogs, difficult to onto in China. I like this skin but it seems to not be compatible with the latest versions of foobar.

Can anyone recommend a skin that is NOT a huge pain in the ass to install. Things were so much easier with winamp.

Just get the Columns UI plugin, and you should have a setup very similar to Winamp's library (two or three panes at the top for artist/album/whatever, and the songs/files listed on the bottom) with a few clicks.

As a diehard Winamp user from about '99 up until a couple years ago, that's the route I took, and I haven't looked back since.

Thanks, that was easy - I'm new at foobar and rainmeter, both can look great but are a bitch to setup

I found my problem, i was trying to use DarkOne 1.5.2
Now there is a version v3.0.1 - I will try it now and see if it isn't more compatible
