hi,

i love foobar for the way it handles playlists. i keep my artists sorted on the left by playlist.
my problem is, whenever i execute an mp3 file, it overwrites whatever i had in the last playlist i was playing.
e.g. i start xx.mp3, now whatever was on the last playlist i was playing before i closed foobar is gone. i would like to lock my playlists somehow so that they dont get messed up. what i find happens is my playlists become a mess and i have to redo them.
also it would be great if i could right click a folder of an album (in windows explorer) and do, "add to NEW playlist in foobar." is this possible?
also one last thing, is there a way to enable drag and drop within foobar. e.g. if i have a track(s) in one playlist, i can just highlight them and drag them over to another playlist. as of now i have to right click, utils-> send to playlist, select playlist. too many steps.

That option will add whatever file you "executed" to the end of your current playlist.

I don't believe so. You would have to first open a new playlist in foobar, then go into the folder with the files you want, hit control-a, right click on a file and click "Enqueue in foobar".

There might be a third party plug-in for this, but you can't do this with "plain old" foobar.

thx 1 more question.

i can't seem to get CD burning support with foobar enabled. I have the plugin installed, but it doesn't seem to be activated since i cant configure it in preferences. it shows in the plugins list though. I have nero 7 installed.

It works fine.

Highlight the group of songs you want to burn to your cd, right click on one of the songs, convert, then "Write Audio CD...".

awesome. i totally didn't see that there. I think it isn't showing in my prefs because i have a noncompatible ver of nero. when i try to burn i get:

Because of repeated problem reports with the Nero 7 version you appear to have installed, this feature has been disabled to avoid stability issues or unreliable operation. Please upgrade to newer version.

i'll sort it from here, thanks again.
