Hi guys, so I've talked to our IT guy at work and he said that I can run f@h on one of the VM's we have here. I installed just the basic installer from ( http://www.stanford.edu/group/pandegroup/folding/release/Folding@home-Win32-x86-systray-623.msi )
configured a user name and used team 33. I keep getting 403 errors.
From the log file :
[17:55:12] + Could not connect to Primary Assignment Server for ID
[17:55:12] - Couldn't send HTTP request to server
[17:55:12] (Got status 403)
[17:55:12] + Could not connect to Secondary Assignment Server for ID
[17:55:12]
+ Could not get ID from server. Retrying...
this just loops over and over. I read online that it is caused by a firewall blocking port 80 or 8080. I asked our IT guy if these ports were blocked and he said that for sure 80 was open, but hes not 100% on 8080.
Online forums suggested trying http://assign.stanford.edu:8080/ and http://assign.stanford.edu:80/ respectively and those both say "ok" for the text.
Anyone have any idea's? I know this VM wont produce anything astonishing, but i figured any ppd will help.
Thanks
