I love my job! One of my customers was cleaning out his office and asked me if I wanted a UPS, I thought it was going to be one of those power strips with maybe a small shutdown system, but NO it was a Compaq T1500!
At work I tested it for a half hour against a dell with a 17" monitor and the battery indicator barely budged (the top LED of four would go out, but then come back on until around 25 minutes into it)
Took it home, plugged my Cablemodem, VOIP box, Router, PC and monitor.
I'm wondering if the cable modem will be able to talk back to Comcast or if there's some sort of concentrator near my house that if power goes down will I still be connected?
If not I'm thinking about hooking it up to my gas furnace for winter - the fan shouldn't really tax it that much.
